At the rate we have been going for the last 200 years or so, it would seem we have de-volved in many ways. We continue to look for ways to destroy one another and destroy our planet.

Evolution isn't responsible for the ways we treat each other. Anyway, I have to disagree about your point that we de-volved. I guess you mean that we lost our values or moral identity. If you compare the situation in europe now and during the Middle Ages there are many things that are much better. We live in a much more peaceful time, tolerance for minorities and other discriminated people is rising and those are just 2 examples.

About evolution I have to say that I don't think the human race changes through natural selection (evolution) anymore. It's simply not possible in our society. Every human being is kept alive as long as possible. Humans that would probably have died in n...

The source correctly explains that there is no deterministic factor in evolution, i.e., it is not possible to predict future changes based on historical change (David McCallum in the original Outer Limits notwithstanding). There is no such thing as de-evolution; time only moves in one direction.
