I just might read this.
But it begs the question: If our demise is a foregone conclusion, why are the environmentalists in such a tizzy? Surely the Mayans knew no concept even close to global warming, but the calamities cited are all "results" of carbon footprints. I wonder......

@llsadago1- I have seen some interesting documentaries and heard some spine chilling stories about the Aztec & Mayan amongst other civilizations that really is mind blowing in so many ways. There are so many unanswered questions regard these different cultures. Hope-fully at some point in the future we will get more pieces of the puzzle about them. You do realize that the Mayans never actually predicted an apocalypse, right? The only significance 2012 has for them is that it's the end of their calender cycle. You know, before the next one starts. To assign a cataclysmic importance to that would be akin to claiming that the world is going to end on Saturday because it's the end of the week.

@filmmavin - Yes I do realize that. It was the Aztec that made the prediction as written in their calendar. I guess what I mean is that so many cultures at that time basically worshiped the stars and the heavens and the accuracy of these different cultures in regards astronomy etc.has left so many questions unanswered in regards to how they discovered their knowledge in regards to the aforesaid subject that it opens the mind to various areas of conjecture.
