Children are no longer oppressed by the act of morning school prayer and they are no longer required to say the pledge of allegiance but Broward County School Super indent threatens that children in his district will be "punished" if parents opt of the President's speech. Hmmm....

Oh my gosh, jatfla, I just heard about that! Talk about oppression. With prayer you had the option of joining in with the prayer or standing their quietly respecting others. It is terrible this man (being this particular superintendent) is essentially taking these children hostage.

There is no way to accurately say that these increases are solely due to taking prayer out of school but the time in history when prayer was removed from schools marks a turning point in our history as a nation. Starting in the '60's, our country has taken a nose dive on the scale of morality. And, that is evident in these graphs. All the same, this info is interesting & extremely disheartening.
