It’s “almost” a story … but I admit to being sucked into contemplating the possibilities.

I mean, come on … A buck a gallon?

Honestly, if I had to bet the deed to the house, my guess is it’ll never happen.

Still, if this, too, is part of some master plan by George W. Bush to continue to manipulate gas prices (as he has been doing since the invasion of Afghanistan), I admit to being baffled by this one.

He probably already knows that, though, seeing as he is also tapping my phone.

I actually paid less than a buck a gallon this week. Safeway gives you ten cents a gallon off for purchases and combined with that and the price around here I paid 96.9 cents. But even without the promo its close to that here.

@coloradoright

That's an interesting claim, being as today NPR was covering the lundberg gas prices survey, which reported the lowest gas price in the whole country was $1.48...

oh gheezzz... Insert rolling eyes here.... as if he wielded that type of power alone. Gas prices were driven up by greedy speculators, not GW. Good god you people will blame anything on your dislike of the man. Funny thing is that the same people who claim he manipulated world markets will also tell you that he is too dumb to tie his own shoes and bought his way through Yale.

BTW, just for clarification, I'm no GW fan, just pointing out the ridiculousness of that statement.
