I've been wanting to create something like this for a long time, so i'm very happy to see i don't have to now, since i'd prob never get to it. anyway, anybody know how to borrow out a book in this system, i can't figure it out for the life of me...

To borrow a book from another library say coolabcgirl, you just navigate to www.gurulib.com/coolabcgirl and then click on the item that you want to borrow. In the detail page that opens up, there is a "borrow item" link to the right hand side. I hope that should help.

actually, that helps, but what i was wondering is if there is a way for me to enter the borrower of one of my items...

Right now borrowing only works between gurulib users. The borrower has to initiate the request. I will add the feature to allow the owner to enter a borrowed item very soon.
