Those on my friends list at myspace can continue to acess the videos directly in my "friend's only blog'entries. Anyone can access these links even wothout an account.. maybe i'm behind here- sounds cool-- are these stand alone players w/ specific playlists new? Seems like a cool concept... Yes, all of the videos are already at youtube downloaded by other people. I make play list by hunting for the good ones by the same artist and make th e playlist. I embed some in my profile pages and leave some of the players in comment boxes of my friends that said they were fans of that artist. Then I edited the embed code for the stand alone page and put that just in the blogs. I don't include the videos where it is obvious that someone just sat their camera in front of the tv. There is a lot of video that has been released for streaming by the artists and their label companies as promotional video for the music sales. Actually to further clarify that question "are they new" The ability to launch the players as a stand alone has always been possible. The options when the codes are given is to automatically redirect you to the youtube site. What I did was to extract the true links out of the codes provided by youtube. So it becomes a standalone player because it is not remerged with the youtube site. You tube does not have a "stand alone player" option presented to you. But if you are willing to look a the codes you can easily find the url. Updates and corrections to broken links have been placed in the 1st comment. That 10 song play list for Jamia Nicole Nash is down to 4 videos. Youtube removes videos found to be in violation. I make playlists from videos I find. I don't upload other people's videos because I don't have the authority. The thing is that a lot of users just upload things which have not been cleared for share. With some of those videos coming from tv networks there is a higher chance of dispute than from those which actually would help boost record sales. So far my playlists have lost 6 from Jamie, 3 from Tina Turner, 2 from Fleetwood Mac, from Prince, and 1 from Usher. This is one reason I don't put them in a public blog and only have video blogs set to people on friend's li... Damn! I should have grabbed those when I had the chance. Live and learn. It makes it bad and hard to tell which videos are posted by Reps of the Artists and which are just violations. Usually if a music artist have record or CD sales, many videos remain excellent promotion and there are no qualms. How ever there are lots of grey areas. |
