I love the early phase of open source development cycles. The current team working on these early phases of Firefox 3 gets to focus on innovation, major new features, and really stretch their imaginations and abilities. I'm very interested to see what comes out of this cycle, even if it doesn't all make it into the final 3.0.

Actually, from what I've heard, the first alpha is all about the rendering engine, and they've done nothing with the interface except for the new graphics library.
