Tanya, like Saxon, I too despise your 'snide' comments about Jesus Christ (on more than one occasion).

I am disgusted with your behaviour, in that you sparked a fire on the 'Fig' clip and didn't have the gumption to defend yourself. Instead you sat back and allowed the likes of John Waterman/Freewheelin and Skwirlinator to fight your battle (and what a disgusting irrational display by both of these supposedly intelligent and mature individuals)

Simply put, I'm no longer interested in you, your clips, and more especially, your comments.

You asked. I've answered.

PS/ The above sounds a bit harsh. In order to try and soften the blow: believe it or not, Tanya, I hate conflict. And in the past few weeks I've rubbed up against one too many people and it's knocked me about.

Thus, in order to maintain my own emotional equilibrium I have decided to avoid contentious subjects and people.

michellezm...I sympathize with how you feel. The internet and Clipmarks is suppose to be enjoyable but sometimes I, too, find myself getting caught up in the contentious remarks and the 'intolerance' that is suppose to be in vogue.

Tanyamm has had some very kind things to say and sometimes I wish we all *really* knew each other instead of the stereo-typical images of people that we have in our minds.

I avoid most Clips regarding Christianity unless they are by people who I know. That's helped.

Thanks Jatfla, for your comment and advice. You understand.

I usually avoid certain clippers like the plague. But for me there is a practical reason for blocking someone, in that their comments are automatically hidden on any clip they comment.

The benefit is that when I open an innocuous-nothing-whatsoever-to-do-with-or-related-to-a-religion clip I am not offended by the same old atheists putting a spin on it.

@michellezm, I did not respond anymore to the fig clip for one reason. It was not because other clippers were defending me although I did appreciate it. The reason I did not was because I have had a (for lack of a better term) a run-in with Saxon before. He/she does not accept apologies and one time before was angry at a comment I made on someones clip. I apologized, the owner of the clip did not remove my comment which I asked them to do if they found it inappropriate. But Saxon followed me with harsh comments and name calling. For their own reason Saxon does not like me and it would have turned into a battle of words with Saxon.

Maybe some people just need to keep their hyper-sensitivity in check. I read the comment Tanyamm made and it was in reference to another clip which was also a joke. That clip didn't get any arguments at all.. so what is it about tanyamm's comment that ignites the fury?

Really, the victim mentality isn't attractive of anyone.

I think some Christians feel as though the secular few are plotting to destroy Christianity and install statues of Marx, Allah, Darwin and Satan in the U.S. Supreme Court lobby.
I don't think the churches will nor have been shut down, and I think as Christians we are called to set an example of our Christianity by taking a higher ground instead of that response. I love to joke that I'd like to be there when some of the atheists are dragged kicking and screaming into heaven.

It's no secret that I like both you and Tany here on clipmarks, and I think you are both good people with good and kind hearts.
What I am trying to gently suggest is that as Christians we are called to a much higher standard of forgiveness. Please do not take my words harshly or feel that I am judging you because I am not. I often fall short of this standard myself.
I believe Tany did not truly mean to offend in any way. I would just ask that you pray for God's direction in this matter and I will respect your decision once you do that.
Again, I hope you do not see this as an attempt to be critical because it is not.

@JohnWaterman, I would like to thank you for defending me here and on that other clip. My explanation for not saying more on the other clip is explained above. I don't like confrontation either and I only make fun of a clip in my comments if the clip is meant to be humourous.

Paradoxical? Perhaps. I often joke that I prefer to "keep my friends close, and my enemies closer", but the truth is that conversations with Willie are pretty much a crap shoot. In one post he is reasonably articulate, and in another he is offensive and ignorant in the extreme. I block him so I can choose when I wish to read him and if I care to engage, rather than be blindsided when I'm not in the mood. I, personally, suffer from the same malady as Willie and countless other clippers. Often my snarky facetiousness is mistaken...
