You need to change the background colour of the clip - use the edit clip option then the little colour icon. BTW there's no need to post the links - the link in blue at the top of the clip takes you to the clipped page.

Thanks John, I did try changing the colour several times and the text did reappear but failed to show up once out of the edit phase. Posting the link is a habit picked up from following links via other sites trying to get a more complete story and then wanting to make sure that I have posted the direct link to the main source rather than an edited piece. As you say, there is no need to do that - I daresay I'll get the hang of it. Will keep the Clip on for a day or so in case anyone wants to follow the link

Have tried clipping other stories from the same site without luck (editing the colour doesn't work in this case). Clippers beware.
