During the 2004 presidential campaign President Bush said although he does not support gay marriage he DOES support same-sex civil unions. Now that the floor is falling out from his presidency and he is quacking like the lame duck he is, he is threatening to veto new legislation because the Democrats removed language that would ban same-sex civil unions. He has learned absolutely nothing, and is even going against his own avowed beliefs. Oh please 2009, hurry up and get here already. I am not one for wishing my life away, but the country just can't take any more of this dangerous man.

Bush does have hypocrisy left.
Zasel, did you mean Bush or Cheney when you referred to the "dangerous man". Maybe both?
History shows that Bush will soon be gone and the rest can set about the repairs.

Tabsey, I was actually referring to Mr. Bush, but since you mention it, it could apply to both.

Isn't freedom of speech wonderful?! and the internet?!

You can say all kinds of ridiculous and deceitful things, put them *out there* as intelligent and people will will act like you know what your talking about.

The very title of the article expresses my point.

Actually Jatfla, you make an excellent point. The title I used was a bit over the top, and I thought about it after it was posted. However, the essence of the article is true. It is terribly troubling that the vice president of the United States does not speak out against what his "boss" is doing to harm gays and lesbians when his own daughter is a member of the community and he now has a grandson who is being brought-up and loved by two mothers. The hypocrisy is mind blowing, much more over the top than my chosen title.
