Humans are so strange.
Mine lies still in bed, then screams;
My claws are not that sharp.

Great read - my fave cat haiku (although not funny) is by Basho:
Girl cat,
so thin
on barley and love.

Shall save these and send them on.

Hilarious.
cakebelly, I may be wrong but I think a haiku has 3 lines of 5, 7 and 5 syllables. Is yours a translation? 'cos I like it.

@Elfrida - good point, I should have credited the translators: Lucien Stryk & Takashi Ikemoto. The poem is from "The Penguin Book of Zen Poetry" (1981 edition).
Basho's work was collected into a slim volume called "On Love and Barley" (I copied out it longhand in the library, once - but have left the copy in the UK ) can't recall if Stryk translated the latter, too.

EDIT: I copied it out (of course) not "I copied out it"
