invictus says: Looks like my too-long-to-pop clips from the "ancient times" have disappeared from the statistics. I rushed to search my collections and whew, luckily they were still there! I had a certain "What the ... " - moment when I saw my stats. I thought about a +500 clips disappeared or got deleted. A short email to a certain ClipDaddy clarified a lot. Apparently all +2000 character clips are set to private, because the ClipFathers are doing some developing and testing in order to introduce a much wanted feature. I miss the days where clips of all sizes skipped gayly hand-in-hand across the surface of Paradise, blisfully unaware of the shame of letting their extra characters dangle out in the open for all to see. Thanks Djiezes. Now you and my wife share the common distinction of being the only two people to call me ClipDaddy Regarding the "missing clips", what Djiezes said is exactly right. I didn't realize that making this change last night on our developments servers would affect the live site immediately. Sorry for that everyone. Totally my fault (Derek was very clear in his explanation to me...i think i was just wasn't really paying attention to him when he spoke - usually it's the other way around). The reason we made the change is because we're going to be introducing full-text search in the next week or so. There are a number of reasons that this may necessitate setting older clips ... Very wise thinking as usual, poppaclip. I am wondering if people who add you to 'my clippers' can see all of your clips? There should be a way to 'authorize full disclosure to people that wish to view your entire collections. Since my reason for clipping is not to be popped, but to generate discussion I think it is very limiting to make unpoppable clips hidden. Perhaps you could talk google into sponsoring some server space...no just kidding. Perhaps you could insert a 'View Private' button on the profile page. Perhaps allow the member to 'enable' the button or 'disable' it. I like to share- Take a look at my forum http://scifiexplorers.eamped.com/ There was another glitch that was just fixed for me by the fine folks here at Clipmarks; the Search feature was looking for users rather than keywords when I was logged in. That sucked, but it's OK now. Djiezes, |
