Unfortunately, because of the intensity of coverage of the UN IPCC and man made global warming during 2007, the full story about climate change is very slow in getting told. These changes in the sun have begun. They are unstoppable. With the word finally starting to get out about the next climate change, hopefully we will have time to prepare. Right now, the newly organized SSRC is the leading independent research center in the US and possibly worldwide, that is focused on the next climate change

Looking into this further, it looks like the prediction of sunspot activity is from NASA, while the prediction of global cooling is from John Casey based on his "RC Theory". The NASA press release doesn't mention anything about this effecting climate. I don't know how seriously to take "RC Theory", since the web site doesn't say anything about supporting evidence.

It seems plausible, but it is also possible to jump into the global warming fray with a fringe point of view, and grab a bunch of attention/$.

In terms of climate predictions at any time scales, there are not credible sources at all. Even the sun activity predictability remains to be much better. But as a geologist, I tend to think that a cold climate is more probable than the long-lasting global warming by IPCC. This graph is reliable enough to think so.

As to the sun activity predictions, you can find a lot of information; just put sun activity forecast in your searsh bar.

I f the forces of the carbon and methane being released in the atmosphere, affecting global warming, meet the lack of sunspot activity and a cooling...what happens? Does the ocean rise and flood coastal areas and then freeze? WTF, over?

We can list numerous "if" that can cause (and caused) warming and cooling, but nobody knows if it can occur and when. Point is in what the probability is. The GW pseudo-science contributed nothing to the problem. And if somebody tell us he knows, it means he's an alarmist and a scammer (or just believer).
