mugofcoffee says: You owe no allegiance to that self-image if it harms you. If you don't like the story your life has become — tell yourself a better one. Think about the person you want to be and do what that person would do. Act the way that person would act. Amazingly enough, once you start acting like that person, people will start treating you like that person. There you go man... keep as cool as you can. Face piles of trials with smiles. It riles them to beleive you preceive the web they weave, and keep on thinking free. -The Moody Blues. Hi napster, very nice... keep as cool as you can keep on thinking free! skizofrenic ... I loved this! Thanks! Ever notice that the little voice in your head has a lot of self-judgements? Absolutely Gorgeous: nice find. That is so amazingly true. I beat that demon in my head for two whole years; it was the happiest I had ever been. Broke -- but happy. It is said that negativity travels faster and easier than positivity and that, of course, negativity is attracted to that which is positive. You can't tell me there are no such thing as vampires -- they just suck out your psychic energy, not your blood. Negative people are hard enough on you... why be so hard on yourself? 'I beat the demon in my head for two whole years....Broke-but happy'..hats off to you gwen! like debby says there is this little voice in our head, but it's judgement is always in the derogatory terms! 'Oh, you wont be able to do that! ' you may not be able to get this thing right' , 'I told you so'... our success may go unnoticed, but never ever our failures by this demon!....well, the struggle is on...the one heartening thing is that the demon knows only our failures. We know our failures, success and our extra-ordinary ability to go beyond all these and achieve what we want...that knowledge & understanding must essentially be the exorcist of our demons... Mug...I can't believe it...Why I didn't see this before ....Just wonderful..Now I feel much relax...These are great thoughts that can help me a lot...Thank you... Thanks, Mug! I'm emailing this to several friends. I don't know anyone who couldn't benefit from taking these words to heart. The most dangerous thing can be, being afraid to be happy because something might go wrong, The prospect of failure can make a Victory sweeter. Find this voice, and challenge it directly. If a voice invokes fear, it needs to be unmasked.Work out what it's problem is and retaliate with sarcasm. Evil voices hate it when people laugh at them. Always remember you're not laughing at yourself, you are laughing at an Idea which may crumble if you find it's weak spot. As someone on Star Trek once said. " We have enough known problems that we have to deal with now. There's no sense in worrying about problems that might exist in the future." Good Morning, Mug of Coffee: Absolutely, a wonderful clip and so are all the comments as well. Thank you again for all the self-help clips and inspiration. K9 |
