I've always wanted to see the Dead Sea, but some of these other places are tempting too!

The photos of the one in Peru are a little misleading. It looks as if it's in the middle of nowhere, but there's a giant metropolis just a few miles away. If you look closely, you can see the city in the background.

I went to Ein Gedi (Dead Sea) this year. It's weirdly wonderful to see an actual stream running in desert rock. And, even in the middle of summer, in the lowest point on earth, in a desert... the water is chilly.

I love the other pics. The ones from Peru are majestic and funny at the same time.

This reminds me of the gorges in North Western Australia. From above all seems like dry desolate desert but then, suddenly a gorge will appear with crystal clear cool water and so much flora and fauna, they're like tiny Gardens of Eden spread across the desert. SO beautiful and peaceful. Great clip Alan. It brought back many good memories. Thanks.

The city in the background is Ica, capital of that province, i've been there but couldn't get to visit Huacachina, there's a legend about the oasis, local ppl say there's some sort of mermaid living in the depths of the lake,, from time to time someone drowns there and it's said to be because of the mermaid claiming those lives...

@arifsali, I think maybe some of the photographers played with the saturation in some of these photos. The colors are just so incredibly vivid!
