God, could you imagine if one of Obama's daughters were 17 and pregnant? Do you think we'd be hearing the Right praising her for "choosing life"? I think we'd be much more likely to hear something like, "Do we need ghetto values in the White House?" Oh yes, it would go there, no question.

I think people are growing wise enough and smart enough and active enough that they realize WE -- we the people -- we must not vote for McCain.

We must vote for better leaders.

In the real world this means vote for Obama.

I think it unfair to blame her for her daughter's pregnancy, BTW. Any parent knows kids will screw around and screw up.

BUT -- this does point out the fatal flaw in her, Palin's approach to sex education, which is to teach/preach that abstinence is all the sex education provided.

Bush and the 'conservative evangelicals,' also lobby for and pressure for this same lack of sex education and it is tied into whether schools get federal funds or not, tied into whether starvi...

This election is about issues, but it also seems to be about how we as a nation are going to face the 21st century and the future.

The Republicans have offered to America as their nominee a 72-year old man who is still fighting the Vietnam War - and he chooses as his running mate a 44-year old anti-feminist Pentecostal woman from another damn oil state who seeks to impose her rigid values on the rest of us. That's the damn past.

Even my born-again, evangelical, pro-life, lifelong Republican mom and dad are voting for Obama. Like many parents, they've been listening to their children, and finally came aboard after the Democratic Convention. And they'll be casting their 2 votes in Arizona!
