One would question the encouragement of bigotry in, what is supposed to be, a cohesive unit. One wonders that the men are so fearful that their god is all that gives them confidence to go on and that an atheist may effect their survival chances.

In the suit, Hall claims his rights to religious freedom under the First Amendment were violated and suggests that the United States military has become a Christian organization.

Wouldn't an atheist argue for freedom from religion as opposed to religious freedom since he has no religion?
