Tuesday = Tirsdag = Tyr's day Wednesday = Onsdag = Odin's day Thursday = Torsdag = Thor's day. Friday = Fredag = Freia's day (or Frigg's) Sunday and Monday are sun day and moon day. Saturday is more mundane. Saturday = Lørdag (from the old løverdag) which means laundry day. Seriously! . Really? I was always taught Saturday was for Saturn, from the Roman pantheon.
