Besonders bemerkenswert scheint dem Magazin dabei, dass es Google innerhalb sehr kurzer Zeit gelungen ist, eine prall gefüllte Kriegskasse aufzubauen.

Immerhin 11,2 Milliarden Dollar hat Google an Barem beziehungsanweise an kurzfristig angelegtem Kapital. Weitere (sehr großzügige) Übernahmen im Stile des YouTube-Kaufs sind demnach nicht nur denkbar, sondern fast schon wahrscheinlich.

Milliarden Dollar), Microsoft (34,1 Milliarden Dollar) und Yahoo (1,6
Milliarden Dollar). Wobei nicht vergessen werden darf, dass Googles
Kriegskasse alleine seit dem Jahr 2004 um 433% zugenommen hat. In der
Bilanz des ersten Jahres als börsennotiertes Unternehmen werden noch
2,1 Milliarden Dollar an frei verfügbaren Investitionsmitteln genannt.
