There are facts in Physics that are basic, or theoretical, but there are so many approaches, that can shed more light them. It's good to have a few different sites, for cross checking, and comparison. Thanks for the sharing. It is an Honor fellow clipper! Scientists break the speed of light It was supposed to be the one speed limit you cannot break. But scientists claim to have demonstrated there is the possibility of travel faster than the speed of light. The feat contradicts one of the key tenets of Einstein's special theory of relativity - that nothing, under any circumstances, can move faster than 186,000 miles per second, or the speed of light. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/technology/technology.html?in_article_id=475587&in_page_id=1965 Maybe God is not restricted to the speed of light since He created light. (Genesis) Hence He can know the future because He is not limited in His attributes due to time, light speed and space limitations. It is impossible for any human to prove anything about God. It is very arrogant to go around proclaiming you know anything about God. You seem willing to go around making some mighty big claims about God while having no authority nor justification for doing so. No human can prove a single thing about God or that he even exists. Before you go around knocking science, you first need to wake up to the fact that for all your believe about God, you have no evidence to support anything about what you proclaim about God. You apparently know little about physics. What they did was use quantum tunneling which is nothing new to physics. Technically they didn't make light travel faster then the... You are trying to knock science, a thing built on evidence and is always self correcting, then you turn around and try to offer your ideas about God as an alternative, a thing that has zero evidence. How can you justify doing this? ezsparky, Your long rants to me about I am arrogant and have no authority to speak for God just shows the hypocrisy of your statements. So you have the arrogance and authority to state there is no God? Prove it... show me some facts that there is no God. I will be glad to overwhelm you with historical, medical, scientific, and mathmatical facts that there is a God that you will not be able to refute. I won't even bring in my personal experiences as most just do. Ding, ding, ding... Come and get it! ezsparky, The dialogue begins with your predispositions that there is no God. Let's breakdown your world view. Does God Exist - A Philosophical Issue Before we ask the question "Does God exist?" we first have to deal with our philosophical predispositions. If, for example, I am already dedicated to the philosophical idea that nothing can exist outside of the natural realm (i.e. there can be no supernatural God), no amount of evidence could convince me otherwise. Asking the question "does God exist?" would be pointless. My answer would be "No, He doesn't," regardless of whether God truly exists or not. The question would be impossible to answer from an evidentiary standpoint simply bec... I'm following you, go on... sozoman- I did not say there is no God. I said that it is impossible of any human to prove anything about God, a very different point. I do not try to tell you if there is a God or if there is no God. I tell you that no human can prove anything about God. There are very specific implications to this fact. My intent is not to try and tell you are right or wrong about you beliefs system, just that because you can not prove the system to be from God, you as a human can not draw authority from your proclaimed belief system to dictate to any other human anything about God. If you want to talk to other about what you believe, you must always do so from the stand point that you openly know yo... LOL EZSparky, This site proves there is a God. Please check it out let me know what you think. It only takes 3-5 minutes to take the survey. http://www.proofthatgodexists.org Hi Sozo, I went through your site, and I think you are right. The logic is clean, sharp, and unambiguous leading to the conclusion that morality is as absolute as the laws of mathematics. All one needs is personal honesty to see it. The problem is admitting it! Wouldn't you agree? I'm assuming you're an honest person even to yourself. How else could you so easily understand the absoluteness of morality in proving god's existence. Brilliant idea! The example that you gave of child molestation is easy to see. There is NO time when it's right. Ever! Therefore there is an ABSOLUTE morality. Easy, honest, and simple to see. That's why I know that you can openly ad... sozoman - Because child molestation is traditionally considered to be “morally wrong” globally among human cultures, it does not follow that this is an absolute truth and in no way provides proof of God. The human culture could have just as easily developed such that child molestation was culturally expectable. If I remember correctly, there have been cultures in history in which sexual acts with children have been expectable. I personally think that child molestation is wrong. The source of my authority to make this claim stems solely from a human derived standard that has arisen from the traditions of human culture. This tradition is solely the product of human culture. You may try... You will not be able to develop a line of logic leading to a proof for anything concerning God. People have a tried for thousands of years with no success. If anyone had ever been successful, everyone would know about it. As long as no proof is given, the only rational thing to conclude is that it does not exist. As long as no proof is given, no human has the authority or justification to proclaim what the absolute truth is. This means no human has the authority or justification to tell any other human what God thinks, wants, expects or commands. Most important of all, no human has the authority or justification forcing another human to do or not to do anything based on what they procl... I blocked you because you seem hell bent on taking people's clips and trying to use them to evangelize your religions beliefs no matter what the topic of clip is. You often do not even try to start up a point counter point dialog with people but instead start right into your routine of evangelizing bible babble trying to to convert people over to your concept of religion. I will unblock you again but if you do this again, I will block you again permently. I don't mind talking religion with you but I will not stand by and let you evangelize to me or anyone else on my clips. If the topic is religion and you are not just evangelizing but instead engaged in the discussion then I will have no problem. Imagine my emails on this thread. How did a free online book about physics turn into a religious crusade? We create the associations and familiarity of the world around us and that doesn't change the reality except in our minds. A rock is still a rock, If Jesus sat on it while talking to the people about God it is still a rock. Because child molestation is traditionally considered to be “morally wrong” globally among human cultures, it does not follow that this is an absolute truth and in no way provides proof of God.Yes, you are right. But in Sozo's false alternatives he only allows a yes or no; and if you pick "no" to the absolute moral, it just takes you back to the previous question "as if" you made a mistake. So I used his own logic with the limited alternatives since he cannot see another alternative than his own absolute choices of yes / no. So in his world, if morality is absolute, then his god cannot be moral, or cannot be god. He allows no other options in his logic. So I leave it him ... AcesLucky- You did a great job and I didn't need to post any comment. I in fact was trying to not let myself comment at all. The only reason I did was because I just could not stop thinking about it. Please don't take my posting of a comment as any sign that I felt more need to be said. I understood what you did and it was brilliant. Thanks again What morals would an alien have? Would it relate compassion to you or just kill you indifferently? How much remorse do you feel for the fly or the chicken or the carrot or the tree? The old saying, be careful what you wish for... it just might come true is what I think about when ever I find myself wanting to meet the aliens. I think Steven Hawkings made a commented something like this. I saw Wishmaster 1,2 & 3. I have read the parables and heard the coined phrases. You will get more honesty from an alien's single action than all of humanity at once. Humanity is deluded. I was judged by myself and found wanting... lol lol 2 skwirlinator - Have you figured out where I got my screen name from? I'll give you a hint, it's from a classic movie. No but I still like it because it seems familiar! Relativity- Put your hands on a hot woman and an hour seems like a second Put your hands on a hot stove and a second seems like an hour. I don't recall where I first read that but it sure does explain relativity lol Did you ever see Animal House? It's from a line in animal house. Are you sure? I have seen that hundreds of times I think I have the right movie title. It's the seen where John Belushi and another guy are looking into the bedroom window of the girls sorority house when the girls are changing. Belushi begins to growl and move to go into the bedroom when the other guy stop him as say "E Z Sparky" YUP! TOGA, TOGA, TOGA! EZ you said... "a thing that has zero evidence" Do you really believe that there is ZERO evidence of proof there is a God? Do you have any proof to back up your statement? Or is just more circular reasoning? I have supernatural evidence that science can't explain away. I have archaeological evidence. I mathematical evidence. Great men have tried to prove there is no God and failed. Certainly you are as bright as C.S. Lewis. I urge you to have an open mind and research deeper to see if there is a God that wants to have a personal relationship with you instead of just immersing yourself in all that philosophy you currently put your faith in. sozoman - Yes I do, that is why I made the statement. The proof falls on the one who is making the claim that God exists. Clear cut proof does not exist! The issue here is you can not prove that what you profess to be from God, the bible and anything else you dream up, is from God. Even if you could prove the existence of God, you still will not be able to prove that what you profess to be from God, the bible and anything else you dream up, is from God. "I have supernatural evidence that science can't explain away." What you call "supernatural evidence" is not evidence. If there exists a "something" which you can not explain, it does not follow that it is "supernatural" or from Go... BUT... Essential Physics 1, is an intensive introduction to classical and special relativity, Newtonian dynamics and gravitation, Einsteinian dynamics and gravitation, and wave motion. Mathematical methods are discussed, as needed; they include: elements of differential geometry, linear operators and matrices, ordinary differential equations, calculus of variations, orthogonal functions and Fourier series, and non-linear equations for chaotic systems. The contents of this book can be taught in one semester. It is a book for first-year college students who have an interest in pursuing a career in Physics or a closely related field. LOL sozoman - "I urge you to have an open mind and research deeper to see if there is a God that wants to have a personal relationship with you instead of just immersing yourself in all that philosophy you currently put your faith in." I have an open mind. Having an open mind does not require giving up rational thinking. As far as a personal relationship with God, STOP telling me you know what kind of relationship God wants with me or that it is even possible to have a relationship him. You can not such a thing so STOP trying to tell me that I should be doing anything. What gives you the right, authority or justification to tell me anything about God or how to relate to him. Also, stop a... EZ, Please don't be so defensive. I am trying to find out what you believe by all your statements in all the blog comments you have made. Most are cut and paste statements. Simple question to find out what you believe. Do you believe in absolute truth? P.s Not... "Absolute truth, God." |
