clip-on-tie says: The mainstream media is falling all over itself today in an attempt to somehow paint this domestic Islamic terrorist as the victim rather than the perpetrator. Did the lame-stream also mention 0bama's decreed that America is a major muslim country? First, the suggestion to bomb Mecca, or any other populated city with human beings, are words that only a psychopath (see definition) would consider seriously. Secondly, Adherents of the world’s most violent and intolerant religion flew terrified passengers into the World Trade Center’s towers screaming the same line Hassan yelled out as the coward machine-gunned down his fellow soldiers.Loaded with inflammatory rhetoric of course (like perfect propaganda, and while "Democracy", not Islam, has been the battle cry for 20th century wars from the U.S., including WWI and WWII to the present), [i]the statement about just who... I personally think that clip-on is right on the button here! The missed opportunity, when revenge fever was high and America's grief needed to be assuaged, was September 12, 2001. Had Bush ordered the Atomic Bombing of Mecca on that day, we would be celebrating him today as the reincarnation of Harry S* Truman. ---- * http://www.trumanlibrary.org/speriod.htm When I composed this, right after 9-11, I was certain that America would not let the Sun set on revenge. "WE ARE THE EAGLE" by Steve Savage "King of the Beasts" http://sskotb.blogspot.com/2007/09/we-are-eagle-by-steve-savage.html So you're saying we should kill many innocent people, many of whom have no desire to kill us, many of whom are level headed people, who have no desire to harm another human being just because there could be a few people who believe so strongly in something that they want to kill for it? I think that's a bit similar to those not-level-headed islamists saying that we should kill a bunch of people in a trade-center because there are people like you there that want to kill them. Take a look at this from the other side. The only way to remove the cause of the hatred between our two cultures is to not perpetrate the violence ourselves. To not encourage others to do so. Only then can we put our differences aside. For anyone to advocate the killing of a lot of people in a faraway place, who had absolutely nothing to do with the Fort Hood killings, makes you no better than terrorists who do the same thing. It's the exact same mindset. Collectively punishing the many, for the acts of a few. But you don't see that, do you? After 9/11, some totally innocent people, who looked "foreign" were beaten up and even killed in the US in acts of "revenge". Is that what you all want? Shame on all of you who would condone such actions as this clip promotes. Shame. A loving father would die to save his daughter’s life, not the honor of a phony religion. And this? It kind of reminds me of some Christians who would rather let their children die, than get them medical attention when they are sick. No? The hypocrisy runs thick on this clip. I'm disgusted that people still believe that it's so easy to box people into a stereotype because of the religion they carry, you'd think this would have been learnt after the Holocaust, the Sinhala-Tamil wars and a multitude of other fuckups in history. Do not judge a whole group of people without knowing the essence of what they believe in, but by what you have ‘become to believe’ through second-third-fourth hand reports of what the media thinks, defines and brands them as people. In any case, this is not a religious war but a political one of power. The governments and the media have allowed the title of Muslim to become synonymous with terror, making it more attractive title to hold for ... Speaking from a strictly military point of view, what do you do with an enemy who will not compromise or reach any sort of middle ground? Truly one is left with only one course of action--that action must be elimination. Look at history, Islam has never wavered from it's stated goals. They wish all to submit (the meaning of the word Islam, by the way). In defeat they simply regroup and patiently wait till the next opportunity. What failed in 1683 at Vienna takes place today in Europe. Happy fat Americans fail to see the Fort Hood massacre as what it is, another in a long line of terrorist murders. What is the fundamental difference between our philosophies? Simply this, I would give... |
