M13 and M22 (globular clusters) are also a couple of my favorites, although M22 might not be so easy to find or even visible to those in Northern latitudes. And hey, don't forget the moon. I usually don't bother with looking at the full moon (through magnification anyway), but I never tire of gazing along the terminator when it's waxing/waning.
