["http://clipmarks.com/clipmark/E2640627-D96B-4558-B78E-1CD9F8952DAB/"]Since WWII enemies on the battlefield have surrendered to American troops[/url] because they believed they would be treated humanely and not abused by the Americans in uniform. This was true as recently as Iraq 1.0.

We used to be the good guys. Now?

We're a nation of laws. We can't just sweep dozens of murders due to White House-approve torture and have any sort of moral legitimacy internationally beyond that of an armed thug.

I think this country is better than that.

I think the US government lost their way during WWII, starting with Fat Man and Little Boy. It's all been downhill from there (politically).

I think the US began to be more PC than dealing in reality.

I don't know who Fat Man or Little Boy were. I just know that Europe and Japan prospered for many years because of the commitment of many American lives. Now we will sell our souls for a holier-than-thou attitude that is/will bring down our Country and make us minions of the UN. No more leadership is coming from the United States. Enjoy this 4th of July. Our founding fathers would be flippin' in their graves.
