There appears to be a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which involves knowingly reporting false information to a credit reporting agency. There are statutory penalties for each violation, that you can collect personally. You are also entitled to your attorney's fees. I'm not sure what state you are in, but you may try contacting a local consumer attorney and seeing if they will take this case on a contingency. This should be a slam dunk as far as the FCRA violations go.
