Oortcloud, that's a gross generalization of the greedy intention of Afghan warlords. You may generalize the hopes of those children who may be relying on Allah to eventually protect and rescue them from these kind of situations, but those who hold these little children hostage for money does not have their Allah in sight, in fact, they don't even have his hellfire in sight where they will eventually be burning.

This particular issue is more common (or used to be) in villages of Pakistan (perhaps India as well) with adults in the bondage as well.

I only point out the inconsistency of a culture that is heavily weighted in religion to form its laws suffering a travesty such as this. Perhaps the greedy Afghan warlords wouldn't prosper if more people didn't rely on Allah to remove them? Or didn't believe that their station is below that of other people based on social caste? Or perhaps if this is a culture that worships Allah then he would find it in his time to end this abuse?
