blueridge says:
Israel possesses a nuclear arsenal supplied by the U.S.. Iran does not. Israel has attacked Lebanon and Syria. Iran has never attacked anyone. The U.S. has attacked two countries. Iran is developing nuclear power, not nuclear weapons. Iran has a right to self defense. Iran has never threatened to militarily attack Israel, only rejected the political legitimacy of the Zionist state arbitrarily carved out of Palestine by the UN under pressure of WWII. (Erased from a political map, not bombed into annihilation). Yet the corporate media does not want you to know these naked facts, but fully supports the Israeli, neoconservative, Bush-Cheney rhetoric of Iran starting a "nuclear holocaust"--a pack of blatant lies just like WMD in Iraq.

Israel it appears will start this war, and the neocon Bush-Cheney administration wants them to before their term is up. War time always has improved political ratings also and could give the neo-republicans a boost over Ron Paul and the rest.

One more important thing to note from article above. This statement shows the motive of this saber-rattling U.S. statement:
Amid the international uproar, British MPs who were to have toured the nuclear facility were backing out of their Iran trip.
In other words, the U.S. making this statement causes the British MPs, who wanted to "see for themselves what Iran is up to" in these nuclear facilities, are driven away in fear so that no one from Britain can refute the false claim they are developing nuclear weapons.

Damn them Jews and their blowing up of nuclear reactors. I am sure Saddam just wanted his reactor for peaceful purposes as well.

The International Atomic Energy Commission, and UN, have stated that there is no evidence Iran is planning, desiring, or working on nuclear weapons production.

It is impossible to disprove a false hood (i.e. "Iran is lying, they want nuclear weapons"), by those who merely allege and repeat lies. It is not impossible to prove that Bush, Cheney, and the neocon-influenced media have lied to the American people. Verifiable evidence of a specific imminent threat is required to conduct just war. Iran has not threatened Israel militarily, but made it clear they do not want or plan war. But Israel and the U.S. have and continue to threaten Iran, and are bringing together France (with their Moss...

As far as Iraq you can check the first hand testimony of a U.S. expert, former Marine and U.S. weapons inspector Scott Ritter, who confirmed Saddam was disarmed of all WMD in 1995. The Israelis had no justification for bombing Iraq's nuclear power plant, an act of war against a sovereign country.
Israel bombed Iraq long before 1995. It was president Clinton who bombed them after 1995.

Yes, I did not mean that Israel bombed them after 1995, should have been separate paragraph. The U.S. had no justification then for "disarming" Saddam when it was already so.

You are so one-sided, you surely must be Arabic, you are naive enough to think Iran is a peaceful nation with peaceful intentions for their nuclear power.

Did you conveniently forget about 9/11? As to why we attacked two countries? Iran could care less about nuclear power, except in the form of a bomb!

Your remarks sound as if they come straight from Damascus or Tehran, dopey to say the least. You are just another talking head for Ahmadinejad!

If I may intercede here blueridge....n2 raises some good points (at least he endeavors to use facts to push his arguments and only asks others to do the same, even if he does get abused for sticking to his
side of the road, n2 come, come into the light! ), but when it comes to "people" like d....well as you can his thoughts and logic do not share the same space time continuum.

Welcome to Clipmarks.

By the way , this clip is from a Murdoch rag, and the message is that the U.S. is worried that the IDF will go half cock based on an Iranian empty boast that they posses capabilities beyond their current technical reach. That is something worth discussing.

This of course is a viewpoint held by some which could also be called one sided.

If you are going to start a war with global implications it would be wise to be sure that there is a justifiable reason for doing so.
The mere speculation that Iran "may" in the future go down that road is not sufficient , and if they do decide to go down the road of nuclear weapons then we will know about it.

The argument usually goes " must we wait for the mushroom cloud".

It is easier to make accusations and allegations than to prove them. Your entire argument is based upon blind belief in what this administration says. In order to make the argument stick they must present evidence which they have not presented.

Likewise the credibility of these accusations can be compared to those given before--i.e. that there was no real evidence to support the Saddam had WMD.

No, I am not Arabic. But are you a communist like the neoconservatives who are disciples of Leon Trotsky? Read about them before you believe them. Their goal is for the revolution (overturning) of all non-democratic governments to prevent any potential future "rivals" to power--i.e. for "global hegemony".

Other news sources broke that Cheney had direct secret dealings with Israel about them attacking Iran, since the U.S. politically could not. I am sure you are aware that he and the neoconservatives work directly with Israel, and that Israel and AIPAC are now charged with espionage?

The necons and Israel are working together to fulfill the plan for a "new middle east" laid out by the Project for New American Century--long before 9/11. The U.S. is not "afraid", the neocons want them to attack.

Afghan had nothing to do with 9/11...amazing that some people who comment still believe so.

You can call yourself anything, but you're so one-sided and naive and seem perfectly willing to accept the terrorist side to arguements, fine. However I still think, no I know, you're just a lousily terrorist sympathizer to damn dishonest to own up to it.

Well blueridge a few things:

Regarding the my use of the term "U.S." was something of a misnomer. I should have specified that I was referring to members of the U.S. goverment, not the entire nation or the entire goverment. Using such a term to denote a monolithic political/ideological block misses the point entirely. They would have leaked this to the times to either put pressure on Iran or on the bulk of U.S. policy makers. Using proxies is a dicey proposition either way.

Now, as far as Israeli capabilities, they have shown in the past that they can strike long range targets (Iraq, Tunisia), but considering the terrain and the distance, the IDF/AF does not have the capabilities to laun...

Look at the FBI's website for "Mosted wanted terrorists" and you will see the OBL's poster does not list him as "wanted" for the 9/11 attacks. When asked about this the FBI replied:

"The reason the Bin Laden poster does not list him as wanted for the Sept. 11 attacks is because there is no hard evidence linking bin Laden to 9/11".
-- Rex Tomb, FBI spokesman (Google it)

OBL also publicly denied Sept. 28, 2001 any knowledge or involvement in 9/11, in the Pakistani press Ummat, in an interview. This is an undeniable fact, picked up by BBC monitoring service. (Later the gov't claimed he "boasted" on a spurious and conveniently recovered video tape, which showed a right han...

don't speak of facts, you aren't capable of dealing with anything that does not fit your agenda, and then only lies and innuendos will suffice.

I will speak of and state facts whenever necessary to refute the propaganda. I challenge you to prove your own assertion as to the obvious reasons, you claim, why the U.S. invaded Afghanistan after 9/11. Stand up like a man, and list the evidence that the Taliban was involved in 9/11, or the evidence that OBL was involved in your reply (something the FBI claims they cannot). Evidence and proof, not repetitious assertions. Condi Rice said she would provide proof, but never did. Your hero Bush says "I dont really care where he is....if he's even alive" (2002).

Can you do it? This is a challenge. If not, fly off my thread and post you scavenging buzzard, or I will report y...

OBL also died in Dec. 2001, his funeral reported in Egyptian newspaper, and by Fox and CNN. The latter videos were pure propaganda given to news outlets by private, neocon-related, "terrorism experts" (e.g. Site).

What a dopey reply, you really are a terrorist sympathizer, poor, poor terrorists just living peacefully trying to kill everyone else on the planet....

Well look, if it isn't old dl211, who likes to show up on other peoples clips slinging names like moron and dummy, yet on his own clips he can't handle the heat.

He has to resort to banning commentary even though I didn't use foul language and the worst I called him was a sheep.

What a loser hypocrite. If people won't play by his rules he's gonna take his ball and go home, the big baby.

Looks like Texans can dish it out but they sure can't take it.
