Why doesn't technorati recognize my blog when I try to claim it?

Maybe they took the day off.I never got my confirmation email, and no response to my email to support.

That's comforting! Thanks. I'll keep trying. Let's hope we both find success.

I registered my clipmarks yesterday with technorati (I received no email, it was a direct registration), now I notice a slight hiccup in submitting clips to Clipmarks.

@TexasTaylor: Did you try pasting the Post (<a href=...) or the Embed (<script...) claim into the clipmarks profile field? During testing, we have had success with both, but please try the Embed type if you are having trouble with the Post type. I have found that Technorati is a bit more reliable when try to find the <script..> tag.

@arifsali: Can you please elaborate on what type of hiccup you are experiencing? We would like to make this intergration as seamless as possible, and the more information we have, the more adept we will be at addressing any issues.

Thanks guys!

Hi Eric, I will come back to you on this when I clip further today. Yesterday, some of the clips were hanging up prior to completing the post to the site, the error message I saw was something like "error pinging technorati" but these hiccups were occuring only on some clips and not all.

I got some "error pining Technorati" messages yesterday too, but the Clipmarks site seemed to be performing fine. I figured the error was on the Technorati end. I had no problem claiming my clipblog.

Absolutely. If for whatever reason, technorati's ping server is down or slow at the moment of clipping, clipping will continue as normal but you will see that error message. It is independent of the kind of content you are clipping. It's just the nature of syncing two web services with another. I hope this clarifies things a bit. Thanks again guys.

I never did get my email.
I just resolved my login problem by clicking "forgot my password", even though I hadn't. Got a response almost immediately, clicked the link, entered my original password as new password, and and boom, I was in.
Then it took four crawls of the spider for it to find me.
