Maybe she fell onto a few hundred or so feet of soft green something or other that was in the jungle? I guess that's plausible. Also, the row of seats she was attached to may have hooked onto a tree branch which acted as a spring and softened her landing. If your body doesn't travel faster than terminal velocity, attached to a row of seats, her terminal velocity was probably slower because of drag.

Just guessing, really have no idea, but what an incredible story.
