So Google's bought phone consolidation service GrandCentral (which several geeky friends rave about). What's it mean? Think one point of contact for absolutely everything: I send you an email, it goes to your inbox and gets left as audio in your voicemail. Or, for that matter, if you could have voicemail for your GoogleTalk service. -David M. Ewalt

GrandCentral is basic unified messaging that has been around in one format or another for some time. It's not about the technology, rather the practical application that it provides. Although I do not know GC's stats, I can only assume that the acquisition is based the simplicity of the application and their user base. I'm going to check it out. Thanks for Clip.
