My late wife referred to this time of the year as the "Holler Days" because of the frayed nerves and yelling that went on in her family.

I'll tell you what I'm going to do:
Make some homemade eggnog.
Drink some
Send out a few cards.
Drink some more eggnog
Eat too much
Do the tree thing while drinking eggnog
Hang out with the people I like and drink eggnog
Get my wife and kid something nice and have some eggnog,
Maybe by this point I will have had enough eggnog not to notice the whole idiot war on Christmas deal.
If not, I'll make more eggnog. [recipe on request]
