happyhomemaker says: I'm curious as to what weapon this is and what it does. I know this isn't the best of wars, but I also know we are up against some very scary people who are befriending even more scary people. Very curious this gun/rocket type thing. It is not an RPG, even the latest RPG does not look like that. Looks fake some house, as if it something you pick up from the Kaybee "action toy" rack, at the very bottom, worth about $9.99. My guess, due to the flat "nose" maybe an shoulder-launched SAM, although I would expect it to be longer, if its a SA-14 or a SA-16. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RPG-29 and here is the Strela-3/SA-14 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9K34_Strela-3 Very interesting. I was going to show this to my husband but forgot to last night. I should email a pic of this to his brother who almost got killed by an RPG 2 years ago. He got a purple heart as well as a Medal of Honor I think (don't quote me) because as he was bleeding out half blind from his glasses being blasted into his eyes, they were being fired upon after the vehicle rolled over and his only concern was his Commanding Officer and a very young greenhorn whom he promised to protect. When he woke them and they saw his condition they were shocked as hell. He had shrapnel all in his face and left side of his body, a grapefruit sized hole in his leg that almost took his genitals o... It looks fake to me. It has what appears to be a hunting scope on top and the parts look very cheezy. It looks like pvc pipe faked to the max and you wouldn't need a scope on something like that. Reminds me a little of the M-72A2 LAW, a light anti-tank weapon. But ours didn't have a butt, and well....a lot of parts that has...but the middle part of it is reminiscent of that weapon of ours. And you certainly didn't need a scope to use the LAW. I have to agree...looks fake. Never know what the conservatives will try to drum up as an excuse to stay in this war. Watch them say it's some sort of weapon of mass destruction. LOL Pffft. |
