Lobsters are believed to live for as long as 100 years. (I'm not sure hard it is to get lobsters to tell their age ) They grow as they age, so this one looks like a youngster, that could out live most of us if it is kept it in a cosy tank. It doesn't have to worry about rising sea levels either.

Wow! It's beautiful. Never seen one before. Great clip. Has anyone seen a Cigali Lobster from Zanzibar? They are stunningly multi-coloured. (Also, the Harlequin Shrimps are worth a gander).

The two donated the lobster to the Mystic Aquarium and Institute of Exploration where it will be used in one of the aquarium's classrooms. The blue coloring is the result of a genetic defect and only occurs in one out of every 3 million lobsters, according to Catherine Ellis, the aquarium's curator of fish and invertebrates.
