From the article:

"In just four years, starting in 1990, the French buffed up the Hutu nationalist military forces in Rwanda from 10,000 to more than 40,000. The moderate forces within Rwanda began desperately trying to broker a power-sharing agreement between the two sides, "And the French government deliberately destroyed any attempt at a peace deal," Mounie says. Then the hacking up of Tutsi men, women and children began. Mitterrand extended bigger loans to the Hutus, which they used to buy more weapons and ammunition. He publicly mocked anyone who talked about a Hutu-led genocide."

Goodness! after reading the article, why in the world is Europe still doing this why! They've created civil wars, topple demorcracies, refused some of these 3rd world nations representation, loans from the world bank and depeleted their resoucres for what! Now you wonder why the UN is so resistant to help....money and bussiness ( to help their lopsided economy)....grrr one day there will be no oil and other resources for these MDC's.

How could France do this, then expect to be respected. Since t...

Well they do have more experience at the game, although France's Empire is nothing but a memory, it seems somebody in Paris is still playing Napoleon over the lives of the people of Central Africa. Just because France does it does not make it better, or justify it in any way. Empire is empire, evil is evil.
