I read many of these comments and was completely blown over by the range of responses. Many applaud Rhee for her willingness to take on the teachers, administration and city officials. Many dislike her and her approach. They think she is wasting time and focusing on the wrong things. I do not know enough about Rhee to say if she good for education reform. But, I will say that she is fighting for the right things. She may not be nice but maybe that is what Washington needs. Things may not feel good but test scores are up and accountability is a priority. After reading all the blog comments about Rhee, I wonder if Americans are really ready for education reform.
