RecordSage says: We should learn from CostCo and ask a question prior to sale - "Is this for resale?" I agree on that one too... BTW, do you have some fascination with the word 'stooge'... you sure seem to type it a lot... We can't always tell when another country is going to turn friendly or unfriendly. I agree the US should be alot more careful when and to whom it sells arms. BTW RecordSage, are you Larry, Moe, or Curly It's funny you should ask, brazilnut72, because when I went to bed last night - I thought that I should've added a comment regarding the boys in my comment... do you have ESP or something? I'd say, I'm much more endeared to Curly, probably like most people... although I like all of them... Shemp being an exception... not that he's bad, he just doesn't seem to be any kind of replacement for classic Curly. Back to the topic at hand, as much as I disagreed with with amaruca on a number of things, I do agree with him on this one. It seems that friends become unfriendly too often and so if one was to stop arms sales completely - that would eliminate this kind of dilemma. Well let's see.. Chavez wouldn't give over Venezuelas publicly owned petroleum to one of the major petro-giants when they came in to strong-arm him..thereby getting on the petro-giants buddies nerves (Bush et al) "Although Venezuela was only the third largest petroleum producer in the Western Hemisphere, behind the United States and Mexico, its proven reserves, at 58.5 billion barrels in 1989, exceeded those of both countries." Now you know the GOB (good ol boys) want a piece of that. THEN Chavez actually USES the national petroleum money to fund schools, poverty programs and missions, for Gods sake. He raises the education and lowers the poverty levels in Venezuela- and exposes ou... You forgot to mention Chavez is thinking of selling some F18s to Iran. |
