What exactly constitutes a marriage in the first place. A couple can go through a religious ceremony and in the eyes of God they are married. But until they have that little piece of paper called a license purchased from the government, they are not legally married. In Biblical times the men simply took the woman they wanted, had sex, they were married. Countries around the world have their own ceremonies and customs. Are their marriages legal here? If they perform their own rites here are they married.
