LGagnon says: Sounds like fun. I was hoping that some anarchists would eventually get together and start a project like this. I'm all for this. Do they offer online classes?? I've always wanted a PhD in Anarchy. Unfortunately, there's no online courses; you have to live in the Toronto area to attend them. It's too bad, because I was planning on taking some of them myself. oxymoronic 'Godfrey Daniel' I think that you would benefit by persuing some anarchist literature. If you directed yourself to relevant sources ( mid 19C anarchist philosophers such as Kroptkin, Bakunin, Goldman, ect or contemporaries such as Noam Chomsky, Murray Bookchin, ect) you would soon discover that anarchism, perhaps more than any other strain of political thought, emphaizes the important role of organisation and education as intrinsic to our growth as human beings. Anarchism is not inherently against 'schools' or centers of learning, far from it. An anarchist free university is not an oxymoron but a natural development for people who are concered with bulding community, seeking to organise them... So now that I've signed up will I be notified of classes in an e mail? How far in advance? And I'm guessing attendance isn't something you guys keeps track of. |
