True, they are wild animals after all. Pregnant females can't be very aggressive. But if they wanted to kill him, he would be dead. They probably thought he was a nuisance of some sort (the man was drunk). The Med has its fair share of sharks, including Great Whites. Had he met one of those, oh boy!
