Well they crafted the "intelligence" for the Iraq war with lies and circumvented the CIA (and Tenet got a Medal of Freedom Award from Bush for not challenging their unsubstantiated lies about WMD). They want the CIA to do this for them instead to justify their war agenda for "regime change" in the middle east primarily.

Just who is praising Obama for this pick is more strong evidence (along with his silent support for Israel's war on Gaza, surge in Afghanistan, etc) that he will continue the neoconservative agenda, only in a "kinder and gentler" manner, in their plan for "global hegemony" for world democracy through "regime change". Not much change here.
