Using the ipod to practice prresentations seems to be the most practical use. Relying on the ipod to actually do the presentation itself seems a bit risky.

It would be nice if someone developed a set up where you could download a PowerPoint presentation to a compact device, use the device to upload the presentation to a projector, and then use the device as a remote control thing to forward the presentation and as a pointer. No more carrying around a cumbersome laptop to presentations.
