Here's an interesting find by The Globe - that almost half the parents who used egg donors don't want to share the information with their children.
It appears that some moms are worried that the knowledge may diminish their roles or invite children to look for their "second mom".
I personally can't imagine how difficult it would be to sit a child down and explain this, but I have to agree with psychologists who say children have a right to know their medical histories. And haven't we all seen a few too many Lifetime movies in which hiding this kind of information ends badly?
