pokkets says: Estimated at 194,254 Veterans are estimated to be homeless, or 25% of the 744,313 homeless on any given night, while they are 11% of the adult population. This must have been a conservative estimate, because I'm sure the homeless love filling out surveys and questionnaires. Of course this is down on the 250,000 20 years ago, but how many of those are still alive? A figure that shocked me is the 11% of the general adult population are Veterans. Does that take into account those on active Duty? How many Americans with 7 figure salaries are expected to serve. Of course they are vital to the ECONOMY. That is being screwed by a prodigal. at lease in US there r different non-profit organizations.we in China reach out for them but can't.anythings and any bodies under surveillance. hope more people care about the life of veterans. That's just sad. Cast aside cannon fodder. And countries wonder why people don't list the forces as a decent work place. What has occurred to me since clipping, and is no doubt understood by veterans, is that those that join the military, know their lives are at risk. People with families can see that going into battle could leave their families with no primary earner. Those who enlist, are more likely to have no-one they need to support, so they know if they are lost it will not become someone else's burden. The tragedy is that when they come home shattered, they have no-one to help them. Where they expected support from those that sent them, they see them looking the other way. What they forget is that they have 200,000 cast offs with military and weapons training. Beware the fury of patient men. |
