Greenland will make a nice buffer between muslim Europe and the free Americas. But the map is missing the radioactive slagheap that was once upon a time Persia.

Interesting, the earth looked a bit like that in the ancient times.

"At that time, the Atlantic Ocean will be just a distant memory, and whatever beings inhabit Earth will be able to walk from North America to Africa"
Probably, it will be like Atlantis... the legendary city that has dissappeared from the Atlantic ocean in one night

I am always amused about statements concerning Atlantis.

The first reference to Atlantis was in 370 BC by Plato. He made no mention of the Atlantic. But coincidentally (or not coincidentally) a major Greek city of the time was destroyed and submerged on one winter's night by a large earthquake and tidal wave. Centuries later Pausaneus described the ruins still visible in the waters.

See www.helike.org for probably the real Atlantis.

Beside the possible existence of earlier supercontinents, 'Pangea', supercontinent broke up into 'Gondwana', and 'Laurasia' about 200 million years ago. and continental drift has had them split, slide across the globe, and merge at the other side. It is reasonable to sug...

Haha, I almost clipped that article myself when it posted, but didn't think anyone else would find it interesting or that it's too speculative...and now it's the most popular clip of the day! What do I know?

People like the illusion that humanity will not be extinct in 250 million years. The species will be lucky if it is still around in 250 years.
