RecordSage says:
Apparently 79 people liked the moveon.org ad, voting against condemning it. Interestingly but certainly not surprisingly all 79 were Democrats.

I think their time could have been better spent working on the country's real problems rather then waisting time with this stupid vote.

It could be... arguably yours could be as well instead of writing this comment... but you felt compelled to make the comment and apparently so have they regarding this ridiculous ad. I'm glad they did... people have to stand for something... there's too much of 'anything goes' as is.

RecordSage - "It could be... arguably yours could be as well instead of writing this comment..."

I have not been put in charge of running the country nor do I get a 6 figure paycheck as payment for the running of the country. They have... so I think your comment is not valid.

RecordSage - "I'm glad they did... people have to stand for something... there's too much of 'anything goes' as is."

If they want to stand for something, they should stand for passing laws that actually do something like putting a stop on the Bush administration's out of control spending, stopping Bush's miss handled war, or better yet, stand up for the constitution and stop this Bush administration from doing all...

No, you haven't... but it's really easy to sit and write all kinds of 'progressive' stuff from your chair, isn't it... you don't get the responsibility, the 6 figures... and of course you have no real insight into what's going on outside of the mainstream press, or kooky blogs, yet you have the answers and you certainly know and do fault others... what could be simpler than that.

As for spending - it's interesting how you fail to understand the basic concept of how the government works. The President does NOT spend money, whatever gets spent, whether he wants it or not, must be appropriated by the Congress. So, if you want to throw your finger at someone for spending - go after the real p...

oh yes I have... oooha (such a joke you are)

How you can conclude that I fail to understand the basic concept of how the government works based on a few lines I wrote is simply moronic you your part.

It seem you have had your head in the sand for the 6 years Bush had congress give him everything he asked for. During this 6 year period, Bush did not veto a single bill. He did direct the spending because he gave them his budgets and they gave him everything he asked for. It seems you are not as well informed as you think.

Yes they exercised their free speech but I stand on what I said before about the time and money they waisted doing something that did nothing when they should have bee...

It is kind of silly that the body that gave these organizations so much power and un-leveled the democracy playing field are now whining about the monster they created. This is how it is now, people. Moveon.org and the like are the new political power brokers. Those with vast amounts of money now have more control than ever. This is not Congress' fault. It is our fault.

Looks like ezsparky sparked out... happens... people who are actually in the know don't blabber like you do, which leads to the conclusion that what you say, or I say, or anyone else says here is nothing more then speculation on our part. We could be right, we could also be wrong, regardless of our 'sources'.

As for me making the comments about you, which you misinterpreted to a degree, but that's online discussion... and claiming I "lost credibility" - don't flatter yourself... I may not know you, but you don't know me any better... it works both ways. I have sufficient credibility with people I care to have it with... you were never intended to be on that list... so your comment there i...

The condemnation is an attack on free speech.
How does history show the moves following this type of attack?

How is it an attack? They weren't prohibited, they weren't fined or jailed for what they did... simply condemned publically. Again, the Congress has the same Free Speech rights, which they decided to exercise in this instance.

How do you figure that the ad attacking the General is Free Speech and the Congress condemning the ad isn't?

It's the same thing, just exercised by various entities. They're either both attacks or both Free Speech sentiments.
