It's kinda like a Doppler effect...I think...It just blows my mind how many different ways we're moving--spinning on earth's axis..in orbit around the Sun...in orbit around the center of the Galaxy...and Glaxies in orbit around...Yikes....dizzy... and at such speeds...I get dizzy thinkin' about it...

Careful papa. This stuff can really suck you in. Next you'll be buying Stephen and Lucy Hawkin's book - George's Secret Key to the Universe, under the pretense that it is for one of the grandkids or neighbour's kids birthday. A good read for adults and kids.
Amazing stuff.

The Hawkins people, huh? Sounds like fun time at reading to the grandkids--if I ever get to see 'm again! I just like to get my head out of the every day banality and human greed, the soul-killing stuff like plastic oceans and banking rip offs, betrayals by Presidents, neh?
