RecordSage says: Clipmarks doesn't do justice to the look, feel & functionality of the new Amplify.com, even though clearly they're related. Yep, you're looking at part of my shiny new Clog. Who did I have to sleep with or kill to get the invite, you ask? That's personal and if I told you - I would have to find you and... you know how that ends. So, for the sake of peace - go to Amplify.com and request to be notified when it goes live. You'll be glad you did. It's coming and as Mexican/American would say while visiting Ukraine - it's mui cool! That looks cool; just like you said. The video was very skippy so couldn't watch it well. I see a lot of familiar people already there!!! Who are you 'kicking' arifsali? Glad to hear you're 'live' though I'm possibly kicking and abusing the new toy, though it has been so smooth and silky that I feel I might as well just take it easy with my excitement. The platform is the best of wordpress MU implementation I have seen especially since they have married the Clipmarks with it so well. It does what it's supposed to do but obviously there's a lot of potential for improvement and added features. I agree with the 'feels smooth' comment. I haven't used it much yet, mainly due to lack of support for Chrome, which is my browser of choice these days. I heard through the grapevine that they want to get that in place, but it might have something to do with the fact that Chrome doesn't do plug-ins, not yet anyway (although that's coming as well). Anyway, big kudos to the A-team (remember, I called them first with that name) There needs to be a bookmarklet (though I wouldn't know how difficult it would be to develop for clips). Posterous has amazingly smooth and quick bookmarket and it works perfectly fine. I'd say A-team should keep posterous in mind as well. Clipmarks is certainly at the top of micro-blogging phenomenon (with or without due credit) but with the popularity of twitter, others have seriously made some huge developments and I believe whoever makes it hands down easier for average internet user to blog/share, would be the winner in a long run. |
