When referring to "right-wing" in the context of American politics one is referring to the libertarian side of the spectrum. However, you are saying that right-wing equals socialist. The business interests at the time of Roosevelt were still drunk on the policies of Woodrow Wilson and his partially successful fascist new world order agenda. Wilson called himself a progressive. He ssaid the essence of progressivism is that the "individual marry his interests to the state." These ideologies were formed into policy by Herbert Croly and continued into the Roosevelt administration, shich he then encapsulated into several policies such as the Blue Eagle Campaign.

If you look at advertisements for war bonds and the war propaganda of those times, it is quite telling. These policies were fosterd by progressive John Dewey.
