I'm on my way. Sounds like a great idea. I wondered what to do with my mental list of irritating words, and the list of my favourite ones as well.

Come to think of it, my list of irritating real words is fairly short... it's the misused words that grate on me the most. E.g. pretentious teachers or scientists or science commentators who pronounce "processes" as "proh-cess-eez", as if it's a Greek plural (more than one processis?)

'Course, I've been considered overly sensitive to word misuse, heh. E.g. it wouldn't bother most people to hear sacrilegious pronounced "sac-religious", but it creeps me out. (The word's not related to the word religious, and...
