Can a 'Pirate' carrier exist without being rendered inoperative? I've heard talk that Homeland Security uses Windows. Do they like Vista. or do they still prefer XP? While that seems a good story, and may have limited truth, I'm sure they have a few connections, Could a programmer design an operating system for an administration ...

I can't imagine a programmer designing anything for an authority, without including their own key and subroutine, that would remotely disable the system if the programmer believed it's use was a threat to the security, or safety of everyday people(That could be too subjective.) It seems that the prospect of restriction, and the way the net is seen as a necessity would give users the motive to find other ways of remote connection. I know a Proxy can be used, and while they talk about the ability to trace anything that is patently obvious. They can't watch everything, and they can't boast about those who are under the radar. Then, if free speech means disconnection, so be it. If it is worth saying, it's worth a trip to an internet cafe. Probably need a passport to go to an internet cafe soon. The likelihood of detection for the sake of free speech needs to be treated as a likelihood, not a chance, and what is being said must be worth accepting any consequences.
