It is always amazing to me that some on the conservative right profess moral objections to certain kinds of behaviors, yet will be skeptical of global warming by ignoring science or any moral call to be good stewards of the Earth. I've read about a 3rd of the site and have nothing not refutable. All you need to do is read the words of "the real authority" on global warming, which is the IPCC reports. The report itself says anthropogenic global warming cannot be confirmed. It is also common knowledge among many scientists that scientific journals have reached the point of being tabloid journal in their alarmism. I've studied both sides and come to my conclusions. I doubt very seriously, if you buy what is on this site, you have done the same. I would not expect someone as science minded as you to have your source of ... I wouldn't mind a good healthy debates about global warming, but the scary thing is how global warming fanatics are taking a scientific question and turning it into religious orthodoxy. Science is not a popularity contest! Complex and chaotic systems that human beings do not understand have long been the province of charlatans and witch doctors, who seek to influence the masses for personal gain. There is nothing to keep scientists from saying whatever they want to prove their opinion. I have see the supposed evidence for both sides of the argument on Global Warming and, from what is shown, they all seem to be true. But I know the answer can't be both "YES" and "NO" at the same time. So how do we figure out who is right and telling the truth and who is lying and hiding evidence. The only way for us to be certain would be to interpret the statistics, examine the results, and gather the evidence ourselves. I can say the sky is orange and you can say it's brown, but we can't be sure of who is right until w... So.. let me get this straight.... Greenland was green for a while, therefore global warming CANNOT be man made? This evidence does not say that say that global warming CANNOT be man made, just that it COULD BE the result of natural cause, something that is not our fault and that we have no control over. There is much better evidence that shows why global warming is not and, at this point in time, cannot be caused by man made gases. If you would like I will gladly present my argument, though it is rather lengthy. Just as a side note I am not, by any means, saying that we, as the human race, should not be good stewards of our planet. As a Christian it is commanded by God for me to care for what he has created for us. ~* {FS} *~ All I can say about this matter is that anyone who cannot see that mankind is at least CONTRIBUTING to global warming has no knowledge of chemistry or science in general. There may be scientists who do not agree with it, but that doesn't necessarily mean they disagree either! There is no way to positively prove that a theory is true, only that it's false. I'm sure you will find hundreds of scientists on the payroll for the petro/gas industry that will deny global warming. Being a scientist doesn't make one immune to corruption. In grad school, I ran into a student who was planning on making illegal drugs for a living. I am not saying man is CAUSING global warming, but we cert... Also, I would absolutely LOVE to see your evidence. |
